[Efficacy] Relieve superficial pathogenic factors, and clear lung heat.
[Indications] Common cold, fever, headache, sore-throat, cough, expectoration. and others. |

[Explanation of the prescription] Zhubing Yuanhoulon Fengrehou indicated that: “The wind-heat air attacks through skin and hair into the lung.” Attack of exogenous wind-heat results in the failure of pulmonary Qi to disperse, thus causing the occurrence of fever, headache, cough and expectoration; wind-heat obstructs at throat induces the sore-throat. In this prescription, drugs for clearing away heat, lightly dispersing and relieving superficial pathogenic factors are chosen as the “monarch”, drugs for clearing lung heat are chosen as the “minister”. Such composition may act altogether to promote the functioning of pungent and cool herbs to relieve superficial pathogenic factors, dispel wind and clear the lung.
[Curative effect] In general, the effect could be felt after 1-8 hours and the patients will recover after 2-3days of medication.
[Precaution] Tea drinking is forbidden 15 min. before and 30 min. after medication. |

[Main components] Root of Ginseng (radix Panax ginseng), root of baikal skullcap (radix Scutellaria baicalensis), root of Chinese thorowax (radix Bupleuum chinense), and others (processed from pure traditional Chinese medicine, none of western medicine is included).
[Efficacy] Replenish Qi, expel superficial pathogenic factors, clear away heat, expel pathogenic factors from muscle and skin, and dispel wind.
[Indications] Cold and fever attack asthenic people, or with syndromes of alternative chills and fever with sore-throat, headache, cough, etc.. |
[Explanation of the prescription] As documented in Zhengzhihuibu Shangfeng: “Those usually asthenic peoples with exterior deficiency and looseness of interstitial space, if careless, may easily be attacked by wind-cold and suffer from wind syndrome. This is the asthenic syndrome due to simultaneous deficiency in the exterior and interior.” Asthenia of the body means the vital Qi is incapable of expelling the pathogen, so that drugs for nourishing Qi are chosen as the “monarch” to strengthen healthy Qi and eliminate pathogenic factors. The attack of exogenous pathogenic wind causes the confliction between pathogenic factors and healthy Qi on the superficial body, so that drugs for relieving superficial pathogenic factors, dispersing wind and regulating activities of Qi are chosen as the “minister”. In addition, drugs for clearing and relieving pathogenic heat are adopted as the “assistant”. Such composition may act altogether to replenish Qi, relieve superficial pathogenic factors, clear away heat and dispel wind; so as to rectify syndromes of cold.
